The MIC [Music Innovation Community] was inspired to be a platform for musicians to be heard and a source for products that could help advance your next step into the music industry. We are interested in songwriters, singers, composers, models, musicians, promoters, performing artists, and fans of all musical genres to step up to The MIC and do their thing. There is something incredibly inspiring about listening to an upcoming recording artist and just knowing in your gut that they would make it big in the music industry. Aside from the fact that The MIC’s platform is filling a void and is necessary to enable hot young artists to make inroads into the music business, nothing beats hearing new talent and being part of getting their music careers jumpstarted. We view that as a privilege. Because we know how hard it can be to get started in the business, we view each successful career as a personal victory.
When you are a musician, as I have been for decades, you know music runs through your veins. You feel the rhythm long before it is on a music sheet. The raw vibe goes through your brain long before a drummer ever plays it. When music is in you, it wants to come out, it wants to be born. And to be in a position to see that creative process coming to fruition, is an absolute joy.
Music is an extraordinarily creative expression meant to be shared, meant to be heard. You don’t just listen to music, you feel it. And you don’t have to just hear it; you can express it through dance or just tapping along. Music touches so many senses that it is a crime not to share it.
