"I didn't think it would be this difficult to find work," said the 41-year-old professional saleswoman and single mother of an 18-month-old. "That's been the hardest thing -- seeing that there isn't much out there. He said he is pleased with the state's recent announcement to extend jobless benefits, but he, too, is stunned by the few jobs available. SOUTH PARIS - Loretta J. Mercier, 86, of Park Street, Livermore Falls, died Friday, March 6, at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris where she was a resident for one month, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 2, 1922, in Livermore, the daughter of Valentine and Hazel (Mitchell) Robinson and attended Livermore Falls schools. On Sept. 21, Tag Heuer watches 1940, she married Roland A. Bernice H. Leaman, age 90, passed away at Brethren Village on Monday, June 14, 2010, where she resided since 1996. She was the daughter of the late Christian W. and Mabel G. Balmer High.
